Locate your Keepsake Name ring sizefrom the chart below:
The Keepsake Ring sizes we stock at Keepsake Rings are American sizing, eg. Sizes 4 to 14 (full sizes only– no half sizes) plus we have a minority of sizes in 3, 15, 16)
In Australia, we use the English sizing method, which is the alphabet sizing. A to Z If you know your English sizing, then you may wish to view the online conversion chart link below, which may assist you to determine your comparison American ring sizing.
Note: When hand stamping around the circumference of a stainless steel ring, it is common for this process to occasionally slightly stretch the metal. There may only be a slight increase in ring size for 1 to 2 names, but when hand stamping 3 names or a long keepsake message around the keepsake ring, the ring can on occasions depending on the ring design and size, stretch up to a full sizing, please keep this in mind when selecting your ring sizing & message.
What I have found is that there are so many ring size charts around, and they differ slightly from each other, therefore please look at this information as approx. sizings.
You can also pop into your local Jeweller if you prefer, and locate your actual ring size for the preferred finger you wish to wear your ring, and we can work from there.
Remember that your Keepsake ring has the possibility to stretch after being hand stamped, so please keep this in mind.
It is out of our personal experience from stamping that I know this information.
Rings increase in size based on a few factors, the ring size, ring design, how hard we hit with the hammer, plus the actual alphabet stamping letter, this all comes into play and has an impact on why the rings increases in size after being hand stamped, and also, some designs seem to stretch more than others.
Once you have your keepsake ring, the other thought is that some days our body’s temperature and external weather determine how the ring fits on our hand. A common reason for why when we wear our keepsake ring, that all of a sudden we find it is looser or tighter, is the weather changes. You may notice on a hot day that your fingers do swell which makes it more difficult to remove your stainless steel ring with ease. When your body temperature is cold, the ring will slip on/off easily.
I find sometimes, it is the knuckles on the fingers that are the issue when selecting your ring size, as you must be able to slip the ring on/off over your knuckles easily once stamped. As the ring metal is stainless steel and will increase in size while being hand stamped, we need to make sure the ring is snug to very tight before stamping on our chosen finger, so as we have room for the ring to increase in size after stamping and still be able to wear the keepsake ring on our chosen finger. Once the ring is stamped, you will find it may be looser as the circumference around the actual finger is smaller than that around the knuckle, and will be able to slip on/off easily.
I hope this has been helpful

How to measure your finger to determine your Keepsake ring size
It is always tricky when we need to measure our finger for ring sizing, as we firstly have to determine, which finger we wish to wear our Keepsake Ring.
On your hand it is your knuckle that is usually larger, than the actual part of the finger where your ring sits. So we need a ring that will comfortably slip over the knuckle and reside on our finger all day long.
As our Keepsake Rings are an American sizing, and not Australian, this creates a bit of a challenge, as we need to convert the Australian sizing to the American sizing. We can walk into a Jewellers Shop and ask them to measure our preferred finger for sizing, and this will give us the Australian equivalent sizing which we will then need to convert to the American sizing.
You could access this chart and convert accordingly.
Keeping in mind, that the ring will possibly expand in size once stamped, therefore you need to ensure that the ring size you select is snug, so as you are giving the ring sufficient room to expand & still fit your finger. This may mean on occasions that you can’t actually slip the ring over your knuckle at this point, especially if you are having 3 names hand stamped.
There are some web sites that show you how to cut a piece of paper and measure, but really with stainless steel rings, it is difficult, as they increase in size while being stamped, so the goal must be to measure the circumference of the finger and the go back to the size chart and ensure that you have measured correctly.
You can also take the inside measurements of a perfect ring size that you have at home & compare this on the conversion chart. But again there are that many conversion charts out here and they all seem to be slightly different.
Remember, your ring must be large enough to not only sit comfortably on your finger but also fit over your knuckles.
And also keep in mind, on hot days, your fingers expand, and cold days, your fingers reduce in size, so selecting a perfect ring size is tricky.
It is also a great idea, if you see us out and about, stop by and get your preferred ring sizing, and then you can keep this handy for when you wish to order the keepsake.

How to re blacken stamping names on Stainless Steel.
Wow – you have been enjoying your gorgeous stainless steel Keepsake, and some months later you find the black colour that was originally highlighting your gorgeous keepsake names seems to be wearing off – now what to do.
When we first hand stamp your names/message around your Keepsake ring we colour each stamping imprint around the ring itself, so as the stamping is highlighted. Black is usually our colour of choice, but if this black colour wears off, then you will need to re blacken the stamping imprint, to highlight your stamping once again.
Plus you also now have the choice, you may choose to change the stamping colour if you so wish.
I have found that some blackened prints wear off quicker than others (depending on the quality of the pen) plus I have also found that depending on what type of dishwashing detergent or chemicals you wash your hands or clean with, this also assists to clear the blackened print from the stamping quicker than normal also. If you think about it, the pen is a permanent paint pen, which means it usually doesn’t wear off.
Anything. However, when we colour stamping with rings, that is different. Why you may ask? Well we touch everything with our hands, we wash wishes, we clean the garden, we swim in chlorinated pools, we shower with water dosed with fluoride, we spray and rub moisturiser and cleansers, shampoos, conditioners and for some they use chemicals and bleach.
All of these are harsh chemicals that will remove the stamping colour and depending on how often your stamping is exposed to these elements is how quick the stamping will fade.
We use an industrial permanent paint pen to colour each stamping imprint, and we do this by using a fine tip texta paint pen and running the tip of the pen over each letter stamped, being careful not to place too much paint reside on the ring itself.
Once the stamping has all been outlined/coloured, we then need to allow this to dry for about 10/20 seconds, then rub off the reside paint very carefully, being so careful not to dislodge the paint within the letters themselves.
We also dab a small few droplets of 70% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol onto a rag and rub this over the ring to remove the excess black paint. An alternative is a dab of some cleaning liquid from home, or even a wet rag will also do the trick. When using any type of chemical such as Isopropyl, we recommend using a small facial mask for this process for your own protection with this type of liquid.
This process will enable you to re blacken your gorgeous keepsake ring in any colour you wish at any time.
We are also more than happy to re blacken your Keepsake ring any time you wish. You are welcome to return the ring via post, or find us when we are out and about at markets and events.
